Crypto Fraud? Red Notice Issued for Do Kwon
Korean crypto founder Do Kwon, who had been accused of fraud after his company’s (Terra) collapse, has now had a red notice issued for his apprehension. Global authorities were asked by Interpol to cooperate in Do Kwon’s arrest.
The Terra founder was reported to have been in Singapore back in May this year, but he has now since left and is perceived to be “on the run”. However, Do Kwon himself issued a statement on Twitter claiming that this isn’t true.
The statement read:
“I am not “on the run” or anything similar – for any government agency that has shown interest to communicate, we are in full cooperation and we don’t have anything to hide.”
Further statements from Do Kwon claimed that he and others involved in Terra are complying with authorities and “clarifying the truth”, which will hopefully be revealed in the coming months.
Aside from Do Kwon, arrest warrants have also been issued for 5 other individuals linked to Terra and Luna (another stablecoin that famously crashed earlier this year).
